Tylosaurus ("knob lizard") is one of the largest species of mosasaur, hailing from what used to be the inner seas that ran across the United States. It measured about 15 metres long and its sheer size allowed it to feed on pretty much everything else in its environment. As an interesting note, skin impressions of this animal have also been found.
